This is a picture book with monolinguistic translation from Chinese news into English. A monolinguistic translation happens when the speaker only speaks one language and translates any language from the one they don't know, back to the one they know by what they think they hear through only through a solo language reference point. The ear naturally forcing the understood language into the language one does not understand.
